A little piece of heaven in the middle of nowhere. Our stay at this place was an absolute dream! Not only were the kitchen utensils beautiful, but the outdoor setting was equally enchanting. Relaxing family stay. Enjoyed the outdoor area immensely, well furnished outside, with different areas for varying moods and needs. Nice bar area with darts board. Large lounge and dining area and plenty of heating facilities for cold days. We had very hot weather and battled with the only cooling being one ceiling fan in the main room. Lots of fridges, well appointed with coffee machine, washer, dishwasher, games, books, linen, etc. Did miss a braai bak or similar though. Pool has no steps within the pool itself to get out; you need to use a lot of upper body strength to get out, so it would be very dangerous for pets/young children falling in. We struggled with insects, but probably due to the hot weather. There are really only 2 proper bedrooms; the other 2 consist of an open loft area with hectic steps, and a makeshift room formed by a bookshelf and room divider. We found the adjacent boutique hotel quite noisy, as their driveway/parking/entrance borders the garden with a thin mesh fence between. There is no alarm on the house, but the area seemed safe. WiFi was excellent. The caretaker was quite grumpy, arrived late for check-in, and arrived early on check-out day unannounced to "fetch some things" within the house, quite an invasion of our privacy. Further, whilst we were checking out, she was cleaning up behind us, which was very uncomfortable. But we were allowed a late check-out, which was fabulous.
