The Poplars @ Sneeuberg Nature Reserve

Description

Sneeuberg Nature Reserve, located in the heart of the Great Karoo between Nieu Bethesda and Middelburg in the Eastern Cape, spans 14,500 hectares. The reserve is home to Nguni cattle and various antelope species. Guests can enjoy an authentic yet luxurious Karoo experience.

The Poplars @ Sneeuberg Nature Reserve, is a traditional farmhouse restored to elegance and luxury, ideal for a large family. It comprises 5 bedrooms and can accommodate up to 10 guests at a time. The main bedroom is furnished with 2 single beds and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin. The second bedroom has a king-size bed with an en-suite bathroom with a shower, toilet, and basin. The third and fourth bedrooms each have 2 single beds and share a bathroom off the passageway with a bath, shower, toilet, and basin. The fifth bedroom has a king-size bed with an en-suite bathroom with bath and shower, basin, and toilet. Linen and towels are provided.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge-freezer, gas stove, oven, microwave, basic cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The living room has ample, comfortable seating and leads out onto a patio with braai facilities and a farm-type pool.

Although there are warm days, it always cools down in the evening and in winter we regularly have snow. The mountains are an important catchment area for water. There are no predators, so it is safe to walk, jog, and cycle through the reserve enjoying the landscape and wildlife.
