Perfect escape for a rejuvenating weekend. Highly recommended! Villa Saint Joseph was a delightful getaway! The peaceful setting at the foot of Platberg provided stunning views and a truly relaxing atmosphere. We stayed in a cozy house equipped with all the essentials, including a gas stove and fireplace for chilly evenings. The highlight of our stay was the hike through the surrounding trails, which offered breathtaking views and a chance to connect with nature. The farm's charm, combined with the tranquility of the area, made it the perfect escape for a rejuvenating weekend. Highly recommended!

It was quiet, peaceful, and gloriously tranquil; just what my soul needed. The room was homely and comfortable, with all that I needed. My car was under cover and safe from the elements. I enjoyed the freedom to go for lengthy walks, do a little birdwatching, and enjoy the feel of a functional farm. I attempted to climb that hill on the property, but climbing a hill in its virgin state is far different from one with a well-worn path. I never achieved it but the experience gave me so much appreciation, especially with regard to the history of this area. The respect for nature is obvious here and I regret that I only stayed 3 nights. While I was left in perfect peace, I was checked on periodically to make sure that all was okay. The perfect host, charming and warm, down to earth and honest; only like a Free State farmer can be. When I left this farm I felt a little sadness, like I was leaving a friend.

Vreedsame plattelandse verblyf. Scenic location, sandstone buildings. Sunflower fields in bloom in the surrounding area. The host is a very hospitable person.

Breathtaking and quite affordable. A beautiful farm where you can enjoy the beautiful mountains and natural fountains with so much birdlife and lovely owners.

Simple, but great. Warm - suitable even in winter. The place is suitable for people who enjoy short hikes with slightly rugged terrain. Please ask the owner, Antonie Du Toit, for directions. If you choose the wrong path, you won't reach the top of the hill. The owners are very friendly. The houses have thick walls, so they stay warm even in winter. A heater and electric blankets were provided for us.

Was a very tranquil and relaxed stay. The unit had everything we required. When we reported that the gas bottle was empty, it was replaced immediately.

Beautiful We really had a wonderful time and were so sad that we had to leave, we really got more than what we paid for, the place is beautiful and well-kept, the owners were a delight to talk to, and we enjoyed every moment of our stay, it was just beautiful.
