Pleasant but some items need attention. We were two couples travelling together. The guest house itself was what we expected: a two-bedroom, two-bathroom unit, with an open-plan, well-equipped kitchen, dining area and a lounge with a flat-screen TV. There is also a built-in braai in the lounge. From the lounge and the bedrooms, we had views over the ocean. The house is connected to an alarm with armed response. On two occasions, we accidentally tripped the alarm and the security company responded. We could park both of our vehicles in the driveway. The driveway is, however, quite steep. While the house itself was pleasant, there were some issues that need attention: 1. There was a bad damp smell in our en-suite and in our friend's bedroom. We eventually traced the smell to the bath towels in our en-suite and the bed linen in our friend's room. Maybe they were packed away when they were still damp after washing. Very unpleasant! 2. The shower tap in our en-suite came completely off the wall when we turned it on. The tap was still functional and we could shower, but nothing held the tap to the wall. 3. The WiFi needs a major upgrade. Although we had a smart TV, it was a cumbersome process to eventually get to Netflix and YouTube - the only channels available. Navigating through YouTube with such slow WiFi was very frustrating. 4. Mosquitoes! We were badly attacked by them on our first night. There are kill marks on the walls and ceilings! The next morning we stocked up on insecticide spray. Maybe the owner can provide those plug-in type anti-mosquito devices for the bedrooms and lounge. 5. Whiskey and highball glasses were absent in the cupboards. Only wine glasses were available.
