Hard to improve on for a similar tariff, anywhere. The setting of Lesley's on-the-water unit has to be seen to be believed - a vista over the Park Island Reach of the Zandvlei and over the white-painted homes of Marina da Gama to the mountains beyond. The nearby Park Island reserve is perfect for walking and jogging amid friendly residents doing the same. And Lesley is a most attentive landlady with all the sense of humour of her native Britain.

Pleasant. Our stay once again met the high standards of our previous visits. The well-equipped self-catering setup and the familiar comfort of the clean, serene space made it a relaxing and enjoyable experience. This consistency keeps us coming back.

Rustig, mooi, sakpas, dit beskik oor alles wat ek nodig gehad het. Ek het lekker gebly, ja. Dit is 'n woonstel vas aan die eienaar se woonhuis. Dit is reg op die water. Die direkte buurt waarin die huis geleë is, is veilig met mense wat stap en hardloop, ens. Dit lyk wel bietjie 'shady' voor mens in die marina-buurt in draai. Daar is 'n klein winkelsentrum om die draai wat baie gerieflik is en Checkers Sixty60 en MrD lewer af. Daar is nie 'n stoof binne die blyplek nie. Daar is een van daardie stoof-oond goedjies op die stoep.

Serene and quiet. The place was safe, quiet, and back hard, not as private as expected, but a lovely location and very peaceful and serene.

Utterly disappointed. I did not enjoy my stay at Waterways at all. First of all, we didn't have a view at all, very small place, 2 single beds pushed together to create a double bed, which was very uncomfortable. We were told not to turn the fridge up, which led to my meat going rotten. Chipped coffee cups, chipped glasses, rusted pans which we couldn't use, no braai area, not even an outside table or chairs to relax at. I was utterly disappointed. Never in my life have I ever had to spend a Valentine's getaway in such a manner. We had to go out every day and spend unnecessary money on food, because we couldn't even braai or use the pans available. Not ever again.

I'm sorry you were so unhappy, but when I do the reply to the booking, I always put "please note the Off Water Flatlet does not have a view and does not have access to our waterside or a boat". There is water access all over the Marina, and we have an island just down the road, etc. One mug was chipped, which has been replaced. I could have replaced it for you if you had told me. There is a freeze section in the fridge which works well, and as you were only here for two nights, your meat should not have gone off.
