Filthy, falling apart.

This was by far the most misleading lodge I have ever stayed at. While the pictures look clean and new, the reality felt like a building site dump. The room was filthy, the bed had hairs and grass on it, and the floors were dusty and littered with dead bugs. Many more live bugs were zooming around the ceiling, which itself was smeared with dead bugs. I had to ask them to come and wash the bath, which they promptly did but didn't seem phased that I had to ask in the first place. The shower floor was filthy. The bath is not secured to the floor and moves around. The taps hang loosely, threatening to fall off. There are no towel rails and nowhere to hand towels or clothing. Chunks of tiles in the bathroom are missing and it seems like they changed the position of the basin but didn't fix up the wall. The curtains are worn and need replacing and block-out curtains should be considered since there are bright spotlights shining into the room making it difficult to sleep. The only plug for the kettle was behind the bed, which meant I had to move it and bear witness to the horror of filth underneath the bed. The sheets were threadbare. The 'heat and eat' facilities and advertised microwave were nowhere to be seen. Just a kettle with old water with some kind of layer of gunk floating on top. I have no idea how this place secured a four-star rating. The fact that there were no reviews when I booked did not help either. They should be removed from the website!
