Winterpaleis is a charming stony old farmhouse situated on a secluded farm in the Southern Free State. Surrounded by vast open landscapes and tranquility, it offers a perfect escape for a weekend, a holiday, or a convenient stopover along the dirt road. The farmhouse provides a unique blend of rustic charm and solitude, ideal for guests seeking a peaceful retreat in the middle of nowhere.
This house can accommodate up to 15 guests and comprises 5 bedrooms and 4 bathrooms. The main and second bedrooms are each furnished with a double bed and have an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet. The third bedroom has a double bed, while the fourth bedroom has 3 single beds. The fourth bedroom comes with an en-suite shower. The fifth bedroom has a king-size bed with an en-suite bath. There is also an area with a double sleeper couch and 2 single mattresses.
The kitchen is equipped with 2 fridge-freezers, a stove, oven, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities, and features a centrally located breakfast island with stools. The lounge has comfy seating and features an indoor braai area.
Outside, guests have access to inviting spaces perfect for relaxation and leisure. Guests can enjoy braai facilities, a lovely boma area, alfresco dining areas, and a refreshing swimming pool. For the more adventurous, the farm features bike trails as well as the opportunity to enjoy canoeing and fishing on the dam, making it an ideal destination for both relaxation and outdoor activities.
