We had a wonderful stay at Woodland Cottages. We stayed in Loerie Cottage while the rest of the family stayed in tents and caravans. Our cottage was very comfortable. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights there. The food in the restaurant was very good. The owner was available all the time and was extremely helpful.

Tired & rundown. Matthew was very friendly, but the place is tired and rundown. Located at least 5 km from Kenton behind low-cost workers' housing. Our unit was comfortable but in dire need of maintenance. Cabin located behind the kids' pool, restaurant & TV room, very noisy. Overpriced for location and comfort. Very basic facilities, no coffee station or soap unless purchased separately, no WiFi unless in reception or restaurant.

Hello Natalie. I am sorry you didn't feel the maintenance was up to scratch. We are constantly improving the cottages (solar geysers, new curtains, pillow and mattress protectors etc.) and this will continue. We are rustic and 2-star equivalent accommodation, so no coffee stations are offered in the cottages (although all have kettles etc.), and with all the cottages set in the bush, it isn't easy to get WiFi signal everywhere (which many people like as it brings them back to nature). Woodlands is just less than 2 km from the Kenton crossroads, and 3 km from the centre of Kenton. Many people prefer being slightly away from town, and we are priced accordingly. Woodlands is one of the cheapest options in the area, and is set in acres of bush with various on-site facilities that people love and are not available at many other establishments (pool, games room, river access and walk, on-site restaurant) so I am afraid we will have to disagree on the value for money. I hope once more changes have been made you can come back again to experience the further improvements.

Beautiful camping. Nestled under the trees, this campsite has everything that we needed. The onsite restaurant is convenient for our late arrival, and our tent was safe for the weekend when we went out to explore the area. A variety of birds visited the campsite.
