I can assure you that our cleaning products are of the highest of quality.
Our head of housekeeping is probably the best you'll ever find in the industry! There are no shortcuts and no diluting of cleaning products. We actually have other accommodation establishments, contacting us and consulting with Woodpecker Inn on housekeeping issues. Our housekeeping standards are very high, one of the reasons why we won the Best Guesthouse In Zululand award for a number of years now.
The only thing I can think of is that you could've smelt Mondi. Sometimes when the wind is blowing from the company, we get a stale smell. There is nothing one can do about it, that's Richards Bay. I do apologise for that.
Regarding the Wi-Fi, we have fibre in all the rooms. I wonder if you were connected to the right Wi-Fi. All you had to do is ask for assistance. We would gladly assist any guest.
The breakfast at Woodpecker Inn is something we've always had compliments about. But tastes do differ. If in future, you do have specific dietary requests, please do mention it and we'll try and accommodate you.
I think what you get for a R120 is more than reasonable as the breakfast consists of 3 x meats, 2 x Eggs, Bake beans / sweetcorn, Yoghurt / muffin, 3 Slices of bread, 2 Jams, Fruit, Juice, Coffee & tea in the room.
