Bongani Regional Hospital is a bed government-funded hospital in Welkom, Free State. The hospital is a Level 2 referral hospital for clinics and hospitals in the following areas: Welkom, Theunissen, Virginia, Ventersdorp, Winburg, Wesselsbron, Hoopstad, Dealesville, Bothaville, Allanridge and Odendaalsrus.

GETTING THERE

The hospital is located in Mothusi Road, Thabong, Welkom in the Free State. The nearest main roads are the R70 and the M4 main roads and Thabong is situated at the Northern part of Welkom. Welkom is situated 23km North of Virginia on the R73 and 19km South-East of Odendaalsrus on the R70.

PAYMENT

Bongani Regional Hospital is a provincial hospital, and services are free to pregnant and breastfeeding women as well as children under the age of six years old. Other citizens are charged according to a sliding scale depending on their income.
