Doolhof Wine Estate
Description
Along the Bovlei Road near Wellington is the Doolhof Wine Estate. Doolhof in English means labyrinth, and when the first settlers saw the dips, nooks, and crannies harkening to labyrinthine topography, they promptly decided to name it just that – Doolhof. While here, there are numerous activities to enjoy, such as walking trails and picnics along the river and of course a tasting of the fine wines produced.
With a name meaning labyrinth, naturally one of their popular ranges is the “Legends of the Labyrinthâ€, with a "Dark Lady Pinotage", "Lady in White estate reserve white", “Lady in Red estate reserve red†and the “Minotaur – a masterful blend of fine redsâ€. Other ranges include the “Signatures of Doolhofâ€, and “The Cape Seriesâ€. There is a training centre equipped with standard business equipment, and their estate home, Grand Dédale, which has rooms on offer, for the visitors who want to surround themselves with beauty for a day or two.
