Glen Beach
Description
Glen Beach is a stunning beach nestled between huge boulders on the Atlantic Seaboard in the prestigious suburb of Camps Bay, Cape Town. While the beach is set within one of the most popular summertime spots in the city, the beach is generally much less crowded than its Clifton neighbours and Camps Bay Beach, which lies to the north of it. The large rocks offer a scenic aspect and provide privacy and shelter from the South Easterly wind.
Glen Beach is famous for its beach-break surfing opportunities and is largely used by surfers and bikini-clad youngsters. There is a lovely walk from Glen Beach towards Clifton 4th Beach that leads via Maidens Cove and Bachelors Cove. These beaches are backed by a number of expensive properties as well as the magnificent Lion’s Head and Twelve Apostles mountain ranges. The beach is located within walking distance of shops, restaurants, and cocktail bars along Victoria Road.
