Grantleigh College
Description
Grantleigh College is a co-ed independent boarding school just north of Richards Bay on the KwaZulu-Natal North Coast. The school has a Christian ethos and consists of a prep school, middle school, and high school. It caters for learners from Grade RRR to Grade 12 and has 720 students. The school enjoys a beautiful setting amongst manicured lawns, trees, and sugarcane plantations. Grantleigh offers boarding to both boys from Grade 4 to Grade 12 and girls from Grade 8 to Grade 12.
HERITAGE
Grantleigh College was founded by Fred and Renette Grant on their farm in 1996, after recognising the need to develop a primary school for children in the area. The school first opened its doors on 21 January 1997 with just 16 pre-schoolers and 5 Grade 1 and Grade 2 boys. By 1998, there were 123 students and by 2003, the school had its first Matric grade.
ACADEMICS
The college has enjoyed a 100% Matric pass rate for several years. The school motto is “To God Be the Glory”
