Hamburg Beach
Description
Hamburg Beach is a tranquil Blue Flag beach located in the coastal village of Hamburg, between East London and Port Alfred, in the Eastern Cape Province. Due to its close proximity to other well-known beach towns, Hamburg is often overlooked as a holiday destination and therefore offers a much quieter alternative to the surrounding areas.
The beach has an understated beauty, but its peaceful and unspoilt sands are perfect for walks and getting away from it all. Known as the land of the monster cob, it is also a favoured spot among fishermen. There are also plenty of hiking trails and it is wonderful for canoeing, wind surfing, and bird watching.
