Kingsmead College
Description
Kingsmead College is a private day school for girls in Melrose, Johannesburg. Situated next to the Gautrain Rosebank Station, it is easily accessible from all areas of Greater Johannesburg. The school teaches Grade RRR to Grade 12 and has 850 students.
The Junior School consists of Grade 1 - 7 while the Senior School has classes for Grade 8 - 12. The junior and senior schools have different uniforms.
HERITAGE
Kingsmead College was founded in 1933 by Miss Doris V Thompson, who envisaged a happy school where girls can learn in a stimulating environment. The school motto is “Franc ha Leal” which means “free and loyal”.

The school achieved a 100% Matric pass rate in 2014.
