Kirstenbosch Craft Market
Description
The Kirstenbosch Craft Market is a lovely open air craft market held on the last Sunday of the month, opposite the main entrance to Kirstenbosch National Botanical Gardens. More than 180 stalls lie under the trees at the foot of the mountain, and offer everything from food to arts and crafts. There's plenty to see and do, with a tea garden, various eateries, live entertainment, and pony rides for kids.
The stalls offer homemade picnic blankets, artisan cheeses, home decor, artwork, plants and gardening equipment, as well as gifts and souvenirs. The market is a great place to hang out at the end of the weekend with a laidback atmosphere and a little something for all ages.
There is plenty of free parking. There is no need to bring lots of cash with you as the market information office situated in the Stone Cottage offers customers credit card and debit card facilities for purchases from most of the crafters.
