Middelburg Dam

Description

Middelburg Dam is a wonderful spot for recreational water sports located on the Klein Olifants River near Middelburg, Mpumalanga. Completed in 1978, the primary purpose of the dam is for water supply.

With plenty of fishing and sailing opportunities, Middelburg Dam is a delight when the sun is shining. Waterskiing can also be practiced here, making the dam an outdoors-man's dream come true.The dam is popular for smallmouth bass fishing. There is also largemouth bass, carp, barbell, and yellowfish in the dam.

There are no boat launching facilities available, but boats can be launched from the gravel banks in the camping area.
