Montpellier De Tulbagh
Description
A picturesque country setting allows Montpellier de Tulbagh to offer a fantastic outing in the midst of a working wine farm, complete with a gorgeous chapel, and cosy accommodation. The farm was established in the early 1700s, though the vineyard was only completed in the late 1800s. The Montpellier de Tulbagh name has had numerous award winning wines attached to it, and they currently produce a wonderful variety of reds, whites, and a brute rose, with fruity, playful flavours. Their newest reds include the Cabernet Sauvignon, Mourvèdre, Petit Verdot, and Shiraz.
If you come along for a tasting, you can expect to enjoy it in the beautiful outdoors, or within their lavish manor house. Tastings run from 09:00 – 17:00 during the week, and 09:00 – 16:00 on Saturdays (staying open later than any other wineries in the area). Group bookings are recommended for larger groups.
