Munster Beach
Description
Munster Beach is a lovely shark protected surfing beach located near the town of Glenmore, along the KwaZulu-Natal South Coast. It is one of the most beautiful beaches in South Africa, with stretches of unspoiled sands, lush vegetation, and wild sea crashing onto giant boulders and rocky outcrops.
The large reef is perfect for angling and a prime venue for fishing competitions. With a year round subtropical climate, Munster is ideal for swimming and snorkelling, with plenty of exotic fish specimens to be spotted in the rocky crevices and shallow pools. The beach is best visited during the months from April to October when Bottle Nose and Common Dolphins, as well as the Humpback and Southern Right Whales are frequently seen from the beach.
The long stretch of beach, massive rocky outcrops, and wild coastal vegetation makes it an ideal place for relaxing and sun tanning without feeling overcrowded.
