Old Presidency
Description
In 1861, the Old Presidency building in Bloemfontein was built in the spot that was once the British Major Henry Warden's farmhouse. In January 1938, it was declared a national monument under old NMC legislation.
The beautiful Victorian style building is now a museum for the public to admire. It is devoted to the 3 presidents that lived here, and features fascinating paintings, furniture, and ornaments. It is also used for art exhibitions, concerts, and theatrical performances.
