Description
Redhill High School is an independent co-ed school in Morningside, Johannesburg. The school caters for over 1000 students from pre-primary to Grade 12 with a pre-preparatory school, preparatory school, and a high school. Redhill has a strong reputation as one of the leading IEB schools in South Africa.
HERITAGE
The school was founded in 1907 as an interdenominational Christian school. It was known as St Winifred’s School for Girls and moved to Parkview in 1924. In 1941, the name was changed to Redhill School, after Catherine Hill who was the headmistress and the colour of the new uniforms.
ACADEMICS
Redhill High School has achieved a 100% Matric pass rate for over 40 years. The school motto is “Free To Build”.
