The Rhodes Memorial Restaurant is situated on the northern slope of Table Mountain behind the famous Rhodes Memorial in Newlands, Cape Town. This unique restaurant and tea garden offers spectacular views across the city towards the Cape Flats, Helderberg, and Hottentots Holland mountain ranges.
The restaurant has been created out of a charming old cottage and offers both indoor and outdoor seating, landscaped gardens, and a playground with swings, slides, a jungle gym, and sand pit. It caters for both locals and tourists alike, with a variety of tasty cuisine to suit all palates and tastes. The menu changes according to the season and offers an al fresco vibe in the summer time. In winter, a roaring fire will ensure you’re kept warm, along with tasty meals like ostrich babotie, Cape Malay curries, and lamb bredie. There are special rates for kids under 10 years. The on-site bakery offers tasty cakes and desserts for your sweet tooth. There's even high teas on request. There is plenty of free and secure parking. A number of mountain walks lead from the restaurant.
