Yzerfontein Main Beach

Description

Yzerfontein Main Beach is a lovely beach located in the small harbour town of Yzerfontein, around 90km north of Cape Town, along the West Coast of the Western Cape. The area is famous for its spring wildflowers, great kite surfing, fishing, windsurfing opportunities, and its pristine beaches.

This beautiful, wide beach is great for walking. Facilities have been upgraded to provide improved ablutions and a first aid room. Environmental education programmes run during the holiday season and there are interpretive signs on the beach to highlight the presence of marine life in the area. A beachfront restaurant offers a superb view of the ocean.
