Dobsonville Stadium
Description
The Dobsonville Stadium is a multi-purpose stadium tucked away in the township of Dobsonville, home of 2012 MTN8 champions and 2011/2012 Absa Premiership runners-up Moroka Swallows. It is one of Soweto’s famous football stadiums, used for mainly for soccer matches, but it also boasts a state of the art athletics track. Built in 1975 with a capacity of 20,000, it can now hold a total of 24,000 spectators. The grandstand boasts new suites, media facilities, change rooms, and a gym with computerised equipment to get players into shape.
