National Museum For Afrikaans Literature
Description
The National Museum for Afrikaans Literature depicts the history of Afrikaans writers and their works, and is located in Bloemfontein in the Free State. This museum was the official home to the 3 presidents of the Republic of the Orange Free State and holds the largest collection of Afrikaans writers belongings, including literature, books, photographs, musical instruments, media clippings, visual art works, and theatrical costumes. Even the works of Afrikaans authors that were anti-apartheid, such as Andre Brink, have been preserved here.
