Sea Point Beach
Description
The Sea Point beachfront promenade is one of the best spots in Cape Town to enjoy an early morning jog or an afternoon stroll. Situated in the coastal suburb of Sea Point along Cape Town’s Atlantic Seaboard, it is a firm favourite among locals who are attracted to the area purely for the beautiful view of the ocean.
While Sea Point beach is not suitable for swimming, it adjoins an Olympic sized swimming pool facility and has a few rock pools for the little ones. With only a few small sandy coves and deep kelp beds, the beach is better for sun tanning and picnicking. There are plenty of restaurants and shops along the beachfront and you can take a walk to the nearby lighthouse, which is one of the oldest in South Africa.
