"Roads in and around the area are minimal and can be very challenging, but fun for those with a sense of adventure. You definitely need to plan where to get your permits for hikes and points of interest. A great place to enjoy the off-grid life. "
"The flowers are awesome but not really much to do in Clanwilliam other than exploring the area."
"We recommend Traveler's Rest not far from Clanwilliam, where bushman paintings can be seen and a farm stall and restaurant visited."
"Beautiful in August with all the flowers. Such a wonderful drive from Cape Town. Picturesque and great road."
Vredendal se mense is baie vriendeliker."
"The town looks busy, bustling and well functioning, perhaps because of flower season. A good Spar in town so you can do your shopping here. And then plenty of eateries. Clanwilliam also seems to have a general neatness about it although I have to admit, we did not see the whole town."
