"The town is quaint with loads of little shops and cute restaurants. There is only one very expensive grocery store in town so be sure to bring your basics! Clarens is a beautiful spot nestled among the mountains so great for a quiet weekend of rest and restore. It is only 17 km from Golden Gate NP which is great for a day trip. Pick your accommodation location carefully as there was a lot of weekend noise from the nearby informal settlement."

Plenty of various themed restaurants and bars, but none of the bars we went to had a cocktail or shooter menu that included anything other than gin or craft beer. If you are not the outdoors type you may find that 2 days is more than enough to get through everything this small town has to offer."
