"There really isn't much to Colesberg other than it's a perfect halfway point for a stop over between between Durban and Cape Town. I guess visitor traffic is seasonal or occasional so it would be hard to establish more 'entertainment' that would be sustainable on an annual basis."

"Beautiful scenery around Nieu Bethesda. It is worth doing the drive even if you did not want to do anything else in the village. The restaurant we visited (Waenhuis) was excellent. The buildings are charming and the village seems to be growing in attractions. It is certainly worth visiting for a couple of days at least."
