Pleasant. We were pleasantly welcomed on arrival. This was especially appreciated since our expected time of arrival was delayed by about 4 hours.

Uncomfortable. A very uncomfortable stay seeing we had to almost need a GPS to find our room and having to drag our suitcases and overnight supplies to our room hidden in the rear end of the property. The receptionist, however, was very hospitable and offered to assist us. The room was very cold, but fortunately, there was a very good air conditioning; however, no electric blanket in a very cold town.

We apologise for the challenges you experienced in finding your room, particularly with rooms Carat 12, 13, and 11 being located at the furthest end of the property. Please note that Carat 6 to 9 is conveniently located at the parking area. We're glad to hear that our receptionist was hospitable and offered assistance with your luggage. Regarding the room temperature, we apologise for the chill. Springbok can indeed get quite chilly in the evenings, especially during spring. We're glad you found the air conditioning effective, and we're proud to offer feather beds as an extra layer of warmth. As you mentioned, we don't have electric blankets, but our feather beds are designed to provide ample warmth and comfort. Unsatisfactory. When we arrived there was no electricity, which means we could not use the amenities, such as WiFi, TV, and dinner was served cold at the table. We had to go to the room with our torches on our phones. Overall not an experience to be repeated. Traffic on the main road was also excessive, so resting after a long day was almost impossible.

Dear Marius, Thank you for sharing your feedback about your recent stay with us. We apologise for the inconvenience caused by the electricity outage, which was due to circumstances beyond our control as it was a municipal and Eskom supply issue. We understand how frustrating it must have been to not have access to amenities like WiFi and TV. We are actively working to resolve this matter and prevent similar situations in the future. Specifically, we are exploring alternative power sources and backup systems to ensure that our guests can still enjoy our amenities even when there are electricity interruptions. Please note WiFi works even if we experience electricity supply. Regarding dinner, we apologise for the cold meal and will address this with our team. We have facilities to serve warm food even during electricity outages, and it's unacceptable that this didn't happen. We will do better next time. Additionally, we apologise for the lack of lighting in the rooms. Our front office normally supplies light lamps during electricity outages, and we should have done so in your case. Regarding the noise from the main road, we understand that rooms close to the parking area (Carat 6-9) may be more affected. However, we do have rooms that are more inner on the property, which receive less noise from the main road. Thank you for your feedback. Definitely not a 4-star SA Tourism rated establishment. The staff were incredible, really. Very friendly, accommodating, polite, and very helpful. The venue and room, however, I feel as if this is not actually SA Tourism Council rated. Old, mismatched fixtures and layouts, mould and peeling paint in the bathroom, toilet that has an extremely high-pitched whine when not even being used, lighting that is as harsh as a torture chamber treatment, rubbish in a drawer which was found when looking for a 2-prong plug, no plug outlets at the bed within clear and easy access, poor locks on the doors. No soap at the basin, toilet rolls in a public toilet cage-style holder, no load shedding backup, no WiFi signal until I asked for it and even then you had to stay in bed to use it, very limited menu and no vegan or vegetarian options (and expensive for very simple food). Breakfast only served from 08:00. Positives: good, safe parking behind a remote control gate, two bag carriers for unpacking, excellent linen and towels, functioning fridge, comfortable new mattress. Very, very good staff.

We understand that our facilities fell short of your expectations, and for that, we are truly sorry. We want to assure you that we take your feedback seriously and are actively addressing the concerns you raised. We're happy to report that our bathroom roof has been renovated, and we're continuing to work on upgrading our facilities. We've also addressed the issue of rubbish in the drawer with our housekeeping team to ensure it doesn't happen again. Regarding WiFi, our IT department has rectified the signal issue, and we're working to improve our connectivity throughout the venue. We appreciate your positive comments about our safe parking, excellent linen and towels, functioning fridge, and comfortable new mattress. We're glad you found some aspects of your stay comfortable. We understand that we fell short in other areas, including our menu options and load shedding backup. We'll take your feedback into consideration as we continue to improve.
