Incredible experience. Quiet and so safe. It offers a real holiday feeling. It was so nice. We didn't want to drive. Up in the Kop with the most beautiful nature. Absolutely terrible. Should have stayed at home. False advertising. TV broken/not connected (it's not even a real TV. It's a screen). No air conditioning as advertised. I suppose it's broken. No extra blankets (it was cold). No hair dryer as advertised. The fireplace is there but no instructions on how to operate a gas fireplace. Not sure if it even works. Cleanliness not good at all; at first glance it's okay, but once you start opening cupboards and using cutlery, it shows. Soap dispensers in the bathrooms (no soap, it was empty. They did not bother to refill). Lamp shade light bulbs don't work. My partner's pillow had a stinky, damp smell. He had to use the scatter cushion to sleep. Absolutely disgusting. Quiet, spacious and safe. I would happily recommend Chucklewood to anyone needing accommodation in the Roodepoort area. The location is safe and particularly quiet. Desiree is an amazing host and made sure I was comfortable. Chucklewood would be suitable for families or groups with the spacious living area and 3 bedrooms.
