Terms and Conditions
1. General Use of the Property
• The property is for short-term rental purposes only and is not to be used for parties, events, or illegal activities.
• Guests must respect neighbors and adhere to quiet hours from 10 PM to 7 AM.
2. Liability
• The host is not liable for any accidents, injuries, or illnesses that occur on the property during the guest's stay. Guests use the property and its amenities at their own risk.
• The host is not responsible for the loss or theft of personal belongings. Please ensure all doors and windows are locked when leaving the property.
3. Damage Policy
• Guests are responsible for any damage to the property, furnishings, or appliances caused during their stay.
• Any damage must be reported immediately to the host. The cost of repair or replacement may be deducted from the security deposit or charged to the guest.
4. Check-Out Requirements
• Guests must vacate the property by 10 am on the day of departure. Late check-outs may incur additional charges unless prior arrangements have been made.
• Guests are required to follow the check-out instructions provided in the guide.
5. Cleaning
• The property will be cleaned before check-in, and a cleaning fee is included in the booking. Guests are expected to leave the property in a reasonably tidy condition.
• Excessive cleaning or property neglect may result in additional charges.
6. Occupancy Limits
• The maximum number of guests is limited to 4 as per the booking agreement. Unauthorized guests may result in immediate termination of the stay without a refund.
7. No Smoking
• Smoking is strictly prohibited inside the property. Any evidence of smoking indoors may result in additional cleaning fees or forfeiture of the security deposit.
8. No Pets
• Pets are not allowed on the property unless prior approval has been obtained from the host. Violation of this policy may result in additional charges or eviction.
9. Utilities and Load Shedding
• Guests acknowledge that load shedding (scheduled power outages) may occur in South Africa. While we will provide backup solutions when possible (e.g., battery lights), the host is not responsible for inconveniences caused by power outages.
10. Emergency Situations
• In the event of an emergency (e.g., plumbing, electrical issues), guests must notify the host immediately. The host will arrange for repairs as soon as possible.
11. Cancellation and Refund Policy
• Refunds will only be issued according to the cancellation policy outlined in the booking agreement.
• Early departure does not warrant any refund.
12. Security Deposit
• A security deposit may be charged before check-in. This deposit will be refunded after the stay, provided there is no damage or violation of these terms.

Acknowledgment By proceeding with the booking and checking into the property, the guest acknowledges and agrees to abide by these terms and conditions. Failure to comply may result in additional charges, eviction, or loss of the security deposit.
