House Rules

Ezantsi Lodge is part of Lalapanzi Lodge, known for its peaceful and tranquil surroundings. We strive to ensure our guests leave feeling restored and energized. To help us achieve this, we have the following house rules in place:

House Rules:
1. Guest Limit: The maximum occupancy for Ezantsi Lodge is 6 guests. Please ensure this limit is not exceeded.
2. All rights of admission reserved – no outside guests allowed without prior arrangement.
3. If you book at the same time multiple rooms as one group (under one name), we charge an additional 10% for the stay and we require a refundable breakage deposit.
4. The guest name should be the same as the credit card holders name or bank account name.
5. Check-In/Check-Out: Check-in is between 3 PM and 6pm, and check-out is by 10 AM. Please notify us in advance if you require any adjustments.
6. All guests undertake all activities at their own risk. The management accepts no responsibility for any theft, loss, damage, accident or injury whatsoever sustained whilst staying at the premises.
7. The self-catering lodges and guesthouse rooms should be used as short term holiday accommodation NO shoots, NO parties and NO functions.
8. Due to the sensitive nature of the location, respect for wildlife and fellow guests is paramount. No music allowed. No undue noise after 9 pm, please! Unfortunately we cannot keep the frogs quiet.
9. Pool and Hot Tub: Please observe safety rules when using the communal swimming pool and private hot tub. Children must be supervised at all times.
Our Holiday house has a private hot tub which is only for the use of the guest occupying this accommodation. We fill the tubs every 3rd day. Due to the fact that we are in a high flammable area, please note that we do not allow any fire including hot tub fire, if the wind is above or forecasted to be above 25km/p/h. When the wind conditions are right, please monitor the wood fire continually as we are in the mountains we have very sudden weather changes and sparks can cause mayor fires, thank you.
10. You are staying in nature and will be surrounded by Fynbos and pine trees. Therefore NO fires may be lit in any location without the express knowledge of the management. We have a Weber braai's at our self-catering holiday houses for charcoal braai's. Please ensure all fires are fully extinguished following the braai (BBQ).
11. No smoking in any self-catering lodges or guesthouse room at any time. Guests may smoke only in designated smoking areas are kindly requested to use the ashtrays and smoking bins provided for the extinguishing of all cigarettes and cigars.
12. The repair or replacement for all breakages and damage caused to the property will be charged in full. Please report any issues immediately, thank you.
13. The renter hereby irrevocably indemnify Zus and Co Management Services Ltd and Lalapanzi Lodge, or any employee against any claim for injury to their self / their family or/and guests which they invite or are responsible for and against any claim for loss or breakage of personal effects which may arise whilst occupying the property, venue and the adjoining grounds, and that the renter resides on the property at their own risk.
14. The key is part of Lalapanzi Lodge, if it’s not returned to us on departure we will charge the replacements cost to your account.
15. Shared Spaces: Be mindful of other guests in communal areas and keep noise to a minimum.
16. Loadshedding and power failure. The lodge has a battery back up system incase of power failure.
17. We strongly recommend having your own transport while you stay at our lodge. Uber taxi is not reliable. Locally taxi's can be booked in advance (we recommend no less than 2 hours if you want to be have your ride on time) only by phone call.
