Fugard's Retreat is a charming 100+ year-old Karoo house, located in the heart of Nieu-Bethesda. It is the historical setting where renowned playwright Athol Fugard wrote The Road to Mecca. The house offers comfortable, no-frills accommodation, perfect for guests seeking a peaceful stay.
This cottage can accommodate 5 guests and comprises 3 bedrooms and 1 bathroom. The bedrooms are furnished with a queen-size bed, double bed, and single bed, respectively, and share the use of a bathroom fitted with a shower, basin, and toilet.
The unit has a kitchen equipped with a fridge-freezer, 2-plate stove and oven, microwave, cutlery, crockery, and tea- and coffee-making facilities. The lounge has comfy seating. There is a TV with Netflix, Showmax, and YouTube access, and guests have access to unlimited Wi-Fi access.
