Exciting slow good food and great stay. Delightful and very interesting. We almost ran out of fuel and were told by the host that they were quite prepared to fetch us if we had. It was a one-night stay, but I would recommend a stay of 3 days to catch up on all the history and the wonderful places to see in the area. Just a warning to anyone who goes to Nieu Bethesda, there is no filling station.

Lovely clean and comfortable accommodation. Althea is very welcoming and informative. Furrows Lodge is a lovely place to stay. The honeymoon suite is very comfortable and very tastefully decorated. Clean, organised, and unexpectedly enchanting! Furrows Lodge was unexpectedly enchanting. Who would have thought one could lodge in a lush poplar forest in the middle of the Karoo? We loved our stay and wished it was longer. We will definitely be back.
