House Rules
Smoking is strictly prohibited in the rooms, but there is an ashtray available and guests are welcome to smoke outside.
Please note that Swellendam is currently under LEVEL 3 municipal water restrictions until we receive good rainfall. During this time, we kindly ask that you use water sparingly throughout your stay.

The parking area of the Houses is monitored by CCTV cameras for your protection and ours. Arrivals and departures are monitored
As the pool is not fenced, only children 12 years and older cannot be accommodated. The garden and pool area are shared with guests in Marilyn’s Rooms and Dolittle Cottages.
There are some resident pets on the premises including dogs, cats, chickens, sheep and donkeys. Children must be supervised at all times.
The resident donkeys, sheep and chickens will be happy to greet guests and are used to people, but guests must please not enter their enclosures and please feed nothing but carrots, apples or other fruits, as these can cause serious illness.
Towels may only be used for showering and bathing purposes. It may not be used for the pool as chlorine bleaches.
