Rietpoort is a Merino sheep-farm situated 11 km from the town of Trompsburg, 120 km south of Bloemfontein, on the N1 to Cape Town. This southern Free-State farm is also a game farm, and home to Springbuck, Blesbuck, Black Wildebeest and Gemsbuck, all of which can be viewed while staying with us.

Experience the best of South African hospitality while staying in one of our 4 farm cottages.

Springbok is a cosy garden cottage which consists of an open-plan room with a double bed, a bathroom fitted with a toilet, basin and shower.

Blesbok is a free-standing unit and has a bedroom furnished with 2 single beds and a bathroom that is fitted with a shower, toilet, and basin.

Gemsbok is a cosy garden cottage with 2 bedrooms, each furnished with 2 single beds, and a bathroom fitted with a toilet, basin and shower.

Swartwildebees is located close to the pool and has a room with 4 single beds, and a bathroom fitted with a toilet, basin and shower.

Each cottage has its own kitchenette, safe parking and braai facitilities, and TV facilities are available in the communal area. There is a communal swimming pool and tennis courts. Delicious Karoo lamb is served in the evening, on request, in the lapa for guests who do not feel like cooking themselves.
