Reception: 07:00 to 19:00 daily
Main gate: 05:00 to 22:00 daily, although there is security at the gate 24/7. Late arrivals and early departures must be arranged through Reception. As the Park is easily accessible from the N1, we welcome walk-in stays by weary travellers after hours. Security is provided with keys to a number of available units each evening and guests checking in after hours are requested to report to Reception the following morning.
Game area gates: 07:00 to 18:00 (1 April to 30 September) and 06:00 to 19:00 (1 October to 31 March).
A fully licensed, a la carte restaurant is open for breakfast and dinner from 07:00 to 10:00 and 18:00 to 21:00 respectively.
A shop where curios and basic commodities may be purchased is available between 07:30 and 20:00.
There is a washing machine and tumble dryer on the camping site. Tokens are available at reception at R15 each.
The swimming pool in the rest camp is for overnight guests only.
Please note for Afsaal and Ebizweni Cottages:
Afsaal Cottage is only accessible by 4x4 or high-clearance vehicles.
Normal gate hours are applicable to these cottages and park management depends on the honesty and integrity of visitors to abide by the gate and park rules.
Visitors should note that there is no cellphone reception at the cottages.
The units are not serviced daily, but only cleaned after departure and before arrival.
The cottages do not have electricity and are solar and gas-operated.
No motorcycles are allowed inside the park.
The use of drones inside (and over) our national parks is strictly prohibited.
No smoking is allowed inside the accommodation.
Remember, by feeding any wildlife you are signing their death warrant, as they become aggressive.

Hikers on day and overnight trails must always carry sufficient water.
Pets are not allowed in a National Park.
