House Rules
This camp does not accept cash.
All visitors over 18 years old will be required to produce an identity document, passport or alternative valid identification e.g. driver’s licence card for scanning upon entering/exiting the Parks.
A standard daily conservation fee of R272 for foreign visitors, R144 for SADC nationals with a valid passport, and R72 for South African Citizens and Residents with ID, will be required on entry to the park..
The Tatasberg Wilderness Camp cabins will be swept out and the area kept clean but the washing of utensils and making of beds will be the responsibility of the guests for the duration of their stay.
Please note that the water at Ganakoeriep, Tatasberg and Hakkiesdoring is not suitable for drinking and it is recommended that guests should provide their own drinking water.
Guests need to bring their own firewood.
Overnight visitors must arrive before 16:00 to reach camping sites before dark.
Internal roads are ‘farm tracks’, a 4x4 high clearance vehicle is required to traverse the Park. Sedan vehicles are not permitted.
Due to deep-sanded riverbeds and rough mountain passes, driving in convoy is recommended.
Single vehicles must sign an agreement to report back to park headquarters on departure.
Driving in the park at night is not permitted.
Driving off indicated routes and outside camping sites is a serious offence. It is harmful to the park and dangerous to the visitor.
An extra spare wheel, tools, spares, enough food and extra water containers are essential.
Visitors should always have a good supply of water.
Cellular reception is only available at the park's reception area or in Sendelingsdrift.
There is currently no ATM facility, shop or restaurant available in the Park. Guests are advised to bring their own supplies that will last for the whole duration of their stay.
Please note that heavy dew sometimes occurs at night.
Do not sleep on the bare ground as the park is ideal scorpion habitat.
Scarves protect against dust and wet towels from extreme heat. Provide clothing for extreme temperatures.
The use of drones inside (and over) our national parks is strictly prohibited.
No smoking is allowed inside the accommodation.
Remember, by feeding any wildlife you are signing their death warrant, as they become aggressive.
As outdoor lighting in camps is limited, a torch/headlamp is required when walking outside at night.
Pets are not allowed in a National Park.

Cancelling or downgrading of a reservation 45 days or less prior to, or on, arrival will result in cancellation fees according to a sliding scale, based on the total reservation cost, which varies between 50% and 100%.
