St Lucia Kingfisher Lodge offers bed and breakfast, and is located on the banks of the St Lucia Estuary in KwaZulu-Natal. Perfect for guests looking for charming and comfortably styled lodging in a tranquil setting, away from the city's hustle and bustle.
The lodge comprises seven luxury air-conditioned suites, each with its own private patio overlooking the tropical estate. These rooms are equipped with either 2 three quarter beds, queen-size or king-size beds with Egyptian cotton linen of high quality and ceiling-draped mosquito nets, with an en-suite bathrooms. Other added luxuries in these rooms include a bar fridge with tea-and coffee-making amenities, a hairdryer as well as a free Wi-Fi Internet access throughout, and a private outside patio.
Guests can enjoy a scrumptious breakfast on the patio overlooking the estuary, and dinners are available on request. St Lucia Kingfisher Lodge also has a swimming pool to take advantage of on summer days.
Guests will be amazed at the number of animals on the property including, hippos, monkeys small antelope, Warthogs and honey badgers, as well as more than 200 bird species that have been recorded. Secure parking is available. St Lucia is a community on its own, separated from the mainland, creating a secluded retreat.
The area offers an abundance of activities for those more on the adventurous side, including horse riding on the beach, kayaking through the hippo and crocodile waters, or scuba diving. For the more relaxed individual, birding safaris by vehicle, bicycle or on foot can be arranged.
