House Rules

Enquiries for bookings that end on a weekend, need to include both weekend days.
Wood is supplied for the fireplace in The Hares Lair and Jackals den.
There is an extra charge per evening for the use of the hot tub.
Travelling Tortoise is off the grid and generates its own electricity, so no load shedding is to be expected.
Guests are asked not to use hair dryers or other high-consumption appliances.
Well-behaved pets are welcome by arrangement.
The retreat is a very peaceful place. For the benefit of other guests, please no music.

Please note that there is a 7km gravel road leading to the accommodation. Guests are required to enquire about the condition of the road, because it can be affected by unforeseen circumstances. All chalets are accessible by a standard car though.
