Breakage Deposit
A refundable breakage deposit of R1000 is payable directly to the establishment.
House Rules
Only mobile phones, tablets, and laptops are permitted to safeguard the solar system; no other appliances are allowed.
A Weber braai is provided; no fires are permitted during strong wind warnings.
Braai equipment should only be used on the lawn in front of the veranda or under the carport, not indoors.
From June to November, due to high fire risk, extinguish coals with water and inform the hosts for proper disposal.
Parties, loud music, excessive noise, and drug use are strictly prohibited.
Alcohol, drugs, and fireworks are not allowed under any circumstances.
Smoking and vaping are only allowed in designated outdoor areas; a R500 fine will be charged for discarded cigarette butts.
Only firewood and kindling purchased from the hosts are permitted for use; no other materials are allowed.
Activities like fishing, hunting, swimming in the pond, cycling, and flying drones are prohibited.
Return keys and alarm remotes to the hosts before departure; early departures should be arranged in advance.
The property is off-grid; please conserve water, gas, power, and waste systems.
The cottage is powered by solar energy; using unauthorized appliances may cause power issues.
Parking is limited to two vehicles; on-site vehicle washing is not allowed.
Pets are not allowed; the hosts' cats roam freely, so please do not interact with them.
Close all windows and doors when leaving to prevent baboon entry.
Hang towels and mats on the provided windy dryer.
The speed limit on the property and access roads is 20 km/h.
Towels are for indoor use only, specifically after showering.
Visitors are not allowed on the property; guests can meet off-site at nearby locations.
Free Wi-Fi is available (10 GB/day) on two MTN LTE networks; the best Vodacom signal is near the Willow tree.
Guests may be evicted without a refund for causing electrical issues, failing to extinguish braai coals, or violating conduct rules.
