Worth it. The place is incredibly beautiful. If you like to get away from the city and just nature around you, the place is perfect. Well equipped for the cold too. The owner also went out of his way to make us feel at home. My kids can't wait to visit there again. Very well and fully furnished.

Hospitable farm stay. Riaan was incredibly hospitable and went out of his way to make us feel at home. He brought us meat back from town until Saturday. The Rooikat tent is very well equipped and despite the cold weather we slept nice and warm. The farm is perfect for switching off, isolated from society. The children enjoyed the farm animals and walking. We will definitely be back in the summer for stargazing.

Quiet, friendly, beautiful, relaxing. Our stay was wonderful. The owner was friendly and very accommodating. The site was beautiful with nicely grown grass, comfortable for a tent. Lots of farm animals to see and enjoy watching by a fire. Good place to explore and hike as well, with lots of rock formations to climb.

Our expectations were exceeded. It was a special getaway. We hoped that staying at the place in Sutherland would not be too cold. We slept warm and comfortably and enjoyed breathtaking sunrises.

This is a great, out of the way, place to stay - highly recommended! Rian was an excellent host and made us very welcome. The camp site was well provided for, with an excellent fireplace, stone pool (which would be lovely in the summer), and very well-planned ablution facilities. Plenty of hot water heated by a donkey - super efficient! The camp site is surrounded by small boulder-strewn koppies, and walking in the area is great.
