We loved the cottage with a fireplace, lovely big bath and walking along the river. Peaceful, relaxing in a perfect location.

Lovely stay. Lovely! The cottage was beautifully kept, clean and had everything you need for a fantastic stay. The lodge grounds are stunning and peaceful. Will be back!

Beautiful location. Peaceful and relaxing. The place is beautiful. The staff was friendly, and the cottage was neat and clean. However, I think that better signage is needed within the lodge itself, as well as better lighting. Also, the crockery/utensils provided within the cottage are minimal, so perhaps a better selection here will be appreciated.

Amazing! Great location. So peaceful. Amazing stay. The only flaw would be that the stairs are very steep. As we were a young couple, this was alright. But some warning should be given, especially for elderly people or couples with small children.

Our hostess was a gem, lovely place, friendly people. Lynne was an absolute gem, coming to our aid when we required ice, she made sure every day that we were happy and content. The place was in pristine condition and the cleaning ladies were fast and efficient. Will recommend this place with an open heart. Loved the gardens and the wildlife! Hubby even caught trout in the river!

The place is nice but the service was bad. We booked for the weekend of the 24th and 25th of March, because my husband took part in the Berg 100. It was me, my husband and my 2 children. We got there late on Friday afternoon to no power or hot water. I called the owner and asked if they knew about the problem and she said the rain sometimes affects the power. We went out and later came back to no hot water. We then called again, the man was incompetent and asked sarcastically if we wanted our money back and what he should do. When we asked him to come and see, he found out that the geyser had been turned off by someone and that's why there was no hot water. By then it was already 9 o'clock and we should have gone to bed because my husband had to be up early to participate in the races and he needed his sleep because the races started early. Like I said, the place is very nice, but the service you get and the attitude you get is just pathetic. We were just disappointed.

Die plek is mooi maar die diens was sleg. Ons het bespreek vir die naweek van die 24st en 25ste Maart, want my man het aan die Berg 100 deelgeneem. Dit was ek, my man en my 2 kinders. Ons het laat die Vryagmiddag daar aangekom na geen krag of warm water nie. Ek het die eieneaar gebel en gevra of hulle weet van die probleem en toe se sy die reën affekteer soms die krag. Ons het uitgegaan en later teruggekom na geen warm water toe. Ons bel toe weer, die man was ongeskik en het sarkasties gevra of ons ons geld terug soek en wat moet hy doen. Toe ons hom vra om te kom kyk toe het hy uitgevind die geyser was deur iemand afgesit en dis hoekom daar nie warm water was nie. Teen die tyd was dit al 9 uur en ons moes maar so gaan slaap het, want my man moes vroeg op wees om aan die resies deel te neem en hy het sy slaap nodig gehad, want die resies het vroeg begin. Soos ek gesê het, die plek is baie mooi, maar die diens wat jy kry en die houding wat jy kry is maar pateties. Ons was maar teleurgesteld.
