Relaxing, beautiful river view. One of the best places we've been for a quick break. Close enough so it's not a mission but far enough so you'll feel like you're on holiday. Definitely heading back soon.

The Rock Cottage is very cute with a beautiful view of the Vaal River and I would definitely recommend Zeekoe Lodge to family and friends if they need a quick break from the hustle and bustle of the city. Tranquil and scenic. We had a wonderful tranquil stay at this hidden gem. The accommodations near the river were cozy with panoramic scenic views. Pleasant stay, and not that far out of Pretoria. Getting there was a bit of a challenge, but our host came to guide us. The units are self-catering, so go prepared with food etc. as the shops are not close. The unit we stayed in was neat; the only problem I had was the ensuite shower did not have hot water. The road getting to the place is a bit rough; a low car will scrape. The river and surrounding setup is peaceful and relaxing. Fish were not biting but it was still an enjoyable stay. The WiFi was very sporadic, so that would need attending to. There are a lot of insects at night because of the river, so you have to keep the doors closed. I will stay there again.
