Tino het ons hartlik ontvang. Earth Cottage het 'n heerlike rustige atmosfeer. Earth Cottage is goeie bestemming in die Hemel en Aarde Vallei en die rustigheid maak dit baie spesiaal.

Ons het na 2 dae besluit om ander akkommodasie te soek, alhoewel ons vir 10 dae betaal het. Die netheid en stortgeriewe was 'n totale teleurstelling.

Heerlike naweek. 'n Belangrike voorvereiste was goeie WiFi en selfoonopvangs en Earth Cottage het baie goed voldoen aan beide. Die cottage is ook baie naby aan die Hemel-en-Aarde-bergfietsroete wat baie gerieflik was.

Perfect getaway spot for a couple. Earth Cottage is a rustic cottage on a smallholding that is located just a 5 minutes from the Hemel and Aarde Turn off. The cottage is part of the main house but totally private and we did not hear the owners at all. The large stoep with loungers and table was where we spent most of our time. On two days we hiked from the cottage to the top of the mountain where you can see the whole of Hermanus down below. The Cottage is conveniently located on one of the main mountain biking trails and we also made full use of the lovely trails. Die Plaaskombuis farm stall and restaurant is just 500 m walk from the cottage and we had a lovely breakfast there one morning. A point to note is that river water is used in the taps and it has a brownish colour. This did not bother us at all and actually added to the authenticity. The owners breed with horses and golden retrievers but the dogs were surprisingly quiet during our stay there.

Beautiful, peaceful and homely. Everything was great, lovely place. The only negative comment I have, is that they are a lot of dogs, which is nice, but at the same time it worried us with the barking when we put our baby to sleep in the evenings. Thankfully she didn't wake up from the barking, but when the dogs barked it put us on edge. This only applies if you have a small baby.

A quaint cottage situated on a working family farm. This cottage is located in the beautiful Hemel en Aarde valley and aptly named Earth Cottage. There were no surprises ie. the photos are reflective. The cottage was good value for the amount we paid. The owners are friendly and the farm is peaceful.

Die atmosfeer is heerlik en stil. Baie netjies en ontvangs was baie goed. Ekstra beligting word benodig buite vir veiligheid. Los matte kan dalk vervang word, omdat daar getrip was oor hulle. Die stort het baie water gemors en was nat en glad.

Not quite what was described on website. No stove or toaster. No secure parking. No view of vineyards. Steps down to cottage, dangerous and not suitable for older folk. No mention that MTN does not connect so no calls and that you need to use WhatsApp.
