Good potential, but disappointing accommodation not suitable for self-catering. A lovely big room, looking out on an enclosed garden with pool and braai. Securely sited in a quiet suburban area. Good bed, but disappointing in other respects. There is no door or curtain between the cramped toilet/HWC/shower and the rest of the accommodation. Furniture is inadequate. Kitchenette not suitable for self-catering; no working surface, no dishcloths, etc. There is a beautiful old Dover stove in working condition, but guests have to supply their own wood. How many guests passing through for a day or two will want to buy wood and fire up the stove to cook their meals? No table and chairs for meals: they have to be taken outside by the braai, or in case of unsuitable weather, from one's lap, sitting on the sofa. This could be an excellent self-catering unit if these deficiencies were addressed.

Hi Peter Thank you for giving us a rating. Thank you also for the constructive feedback. We have a list of renovations and upgrades, and some of them are ones you have mentioned. I respectfully disagree with some of your remarks; for example, the kitchenette. We added pictures (over 40) of how the apartment looks on the inside and outside area. We try our best to give guests a real view of the apartment. The dishcloths are in the cupboard underneath the sink area. You might have missed it by accident. With regard to the wood, I did send you a welcome note to inform you to bring wood should you want to braai inside or outside. Please bring to my attention how we can improve on the service and also the cleanliness. I personally clean the room myself to make sure all areas are clean. If I missed something, I do apologise. I do, however, truly feel our apartment is good value for money, but I respect your review on it. We apologise for the inconvenience regarding the dining space and the absence of the door to the bathroom. That is on our upgrade list and will be completed after the season. Should you wish to come visit us again, I am sure we would have done our upgrades. Have a great day. Regards Hanneke
