The place is clean, the pictures don't do any justice. You have to see it. The place is magical. If you need to unwind and unplug, this is definitely the place to be.

You will find peace in your soul at The Hanging Garden. Sheer bliss! Spectacular! The Hanging Garden is peaceful and beautiful. The hosts are excellent, and their attention to detail is amazing. All the little touches made our stay perfect. From hiking to swimming to lounging on the deck, we loved our stay and we cannot wait to be back.

Perfect. It was amazing, exactly like it was on the pictures. Clean, neat and perfect for our family weekend. The kids loved the pool and we enjoyed our braai. We had absolutely no network, so be prepared for that, but they have a radio for you to reach the host if you need anything.

Please note that the quality of cellular network coverage varies or is intermittent in the general Marico area, depending on whether ESKOM power outages occur, which does affect the performance of our local cellular network towers.

Beautiful and quiet, what a nice place to recharge. We found the chalet to be perfect for the weekend we spent there. It's a pity it's so far from JHB as I'll love going back regularly.

Kindly note that The Hanging Garden's location is about 3 hours from Johannesburg and Pretoria. All the necessary information and a map with directions to the location of The Hanging Garden is provided when guests submit a booking enquiry to stay at our establishment as well as prior to their booking arrival date. We encourage our guests to check the information supplied and do some more of their own research about The Hanging Garden before their stay.

Rustig en natuurskoon. Ons gashere was behulpsaam en vriendelik wanneer ons raad nodig gehad het. Die eiendom is nie baie groot nie, maar die twee staproetes is pragtig uiteengesit. Die verblyf is bekoorlik en het 'n lieflike uitsig. Dit is 'n rustige plek, ideaal vir 'n langnaweek. Ontvangs is sleg, so jy sal nie op jou selfoon wees nie. Daar is 'n walkie-talkie in die kombuis as jy jou gashere in die hande moet kry, wat baie gerusstellend is. Die eiendom voel baie veilig en afgesonder. Ons beveel wel aan om in 'n 4x4 te kom, want dit is nie net die pad na die oord wat 'n grondpad is nie, maar ook meeste van die paaie in die area.

Thank you, Marianne, for your positive feedback. It was a pleasure to share our bushveld haven with you. The retreat is situated within the expansive Marico Biosphere Reserve. Most outdoor features developed for our guests, like the River Trail & Eco Trail, are located near the Eco Chalet, which makes them easily accessible for guests. There are sizable parts of the bushveld farm retreat that are not yet explored or accessible by visitors. Please note that cellular network coverage in the Marico area can vary from poor to good, depending on the performance of local cellular network towers. Also, any high clearance vehicles such as bakkies, SUVs or 4x4 vehicles can travel on the Marico sand/gravel roads, whilst sedan type vehicles may manage at a slow pace.
