Hi Henrietta and thank you for the review With regards to the hot water I have never had a problem or complaint prior to your stay or since, I use the same water for my shower and it was more than hot enough so am not sure what went wrong in your rooms, I will investigate and revert. On the site of Umhlanga Lodge it clearly states that the spare bed in your room was a sleeper couch and folds into a 3/4 bed, so if it was misleading I once again sincerely apologize. (perhaps you did not unfold it, I was onsite and would gladly have assisted had you have told me, it is simply a matter of pushing the back forward and then folds down. Once again on our website and advertising, we do not offer the jacuzzi as an option to our guests, so it was never an option either way and unfair to post it as such. I have an abundance of crockery on site and had you requested more it would gladly have been given to you. I am a tad confused because every morning and evening I asked if everything was ok and you said everything was perfect, but be that as it may, i am truly sorry that you did not enjoy your stay with us.

A really top class establishment. True luxury and comfort. A lot of thought has been put in the finishing touches. I can really recommend this venue. This will definitely become our go-to place when we visit Durban and surrounds again. We received a warm welcome on arrival and the atmosphere is just so homely. This is really an upmarket accommodation at a very affordable price. Very comfortable, extremely hygienic and clean with a luxurious feel to it.

Lovely, cosy, clean room. Lovely, cosy, clean room. Friendly, helpful host. Very accommodating. I felt safe and secure as a female staying there alone.

Die plek is baie gemaklik en netjies. Die verblyfplek is baie mooi en netjies. 'n Voorstel vir die badkamer wat in ons eenheid was is dat die badkamer deur baie onprakties is in die badkamer. Dit verhoed dat jy gemaklik kan beweeg in die badkamer. Die stort se water loop als op die gewone badkamer vloer en veroorsaak dat jy handdoeke daar moet sit om die water op te droog. Daar is geen elektriese kragprop naby die spieëlkas nie dus moet jy die kragprop vanaf die yskas gebruik om jou haardroër in te prop, baie onprakties.
