Exceeded expectations. Whistling Bridge cottage provided us with an exceptional overnight stop on our journey up the N1. We were met by our friendly host, Kim, who showed us the way to the cottage along the farm roads and settled us into the very well-appointed cottage. The spacious accommodation was clean and very comfortable. Our only disappointment was that we were not staying longer. The padkos coffee and hot chocolate from the farm stall was our parting treat.

Overall, a beautiful spot to braai, relax, chat and even swim. We will be back. Angeline was very welcoming and always attentive to our needs. The Cottage location was perfect; we were a group of friends getting together for 4 nights after a long time apart. Quiet, despite the N1 being not far away. Lovely for long, peaceful walks (sometimes with sheep!). We received more than enough wood for both indoors and outdoors. Morne was also very helpful. The WiFi was a bonus; the TV was probably not necessary (we never switched it on). We never used the wood-fired hot tub on the stoep, but will definitely do so next time!
